We have had a lot of changes over the last 2 years.
We have had some sad moments and some exciting times.
Brig. Warren and the Unit of a whole had the sad time of the death of Brig Warren's Brother and our Retired Chaplin after a long illness followed by this year the death of his mum and our Chief Chapperone.
Some of our Cadets have moved interstate and others moved on due to work committments or to join other organisations -- We wish them all the best in thier future career choices.
We welcome all our new recruits and looking forward to many more as we have expanded to the South of Adelaide with a New Camp at Edwardstown Primary School. (Camp Beho-Beho)
Our Cadets this year were involved in many Community Events including NASHO Service at Wallaroo, ANZAC Eve Service at St Clair, ANZAC Eve Vigil at Henley & Grange RSL, Rememberance Day Services x4 at Nursing Homes, Schools and the Daw Park Repatriation Hospital just to name a few.
Cadets were also involved in a run to the Birdwood Mill to join with the WVCG (Wartime Vehicle Conservation Group) to promote and show case the Unit. We look forward to further joint events in the coming years.
We had 5 overnight events this year 2 at HQ and 3 offsite where valuable training and lessons were held as well as fun activities.
Eligable cadets also got to attend an event and many qualified for their cross rifle badges. Well Done.
We have had some Cadets turn 18 and have now joined our Unit as Instructors.
This year has been a rebuilding and strengthening year and we look forward to bigger and better things to come in the New Year of 2017.
I Wish All a Very Merry Healthy Christmas and a Safe New Year.
