Displays of WW1 & WW2 military vehicles, Re-enactment Groups, Youth Group recruiting & display booths, Militaria, Sausage Sizzle, Drinks, Ice-creams & lots more.
Put this date in your diary so you don't forget. It will be a great day.
Although the day was not well attended by the general public, we still considered it a success.
Lots of re-enactment groups came including Knights fighting with swords & shields, Wartime Conservation Group www.wvcg.org with vehicles such as a "Mutt" which is a Vietnam War vehicle, a Ford Blitz, and WW2 Jeeps from USA & SAS (British). We also had Fort Glanville Historical Society, www.fortglanville.com.au complete with a 16 pounder gun firing & a 2 pounder gun also firing, the Girls Brigade www.girlsbrigadesa.org.au who had crafts, face painting, masks & a clown, Medals Mementos & More www.medalsmementos.com with a display of medals & badges, Noarlunga Volunteer Rifles www.users.picknowl.com.au/~vaisham/Noarlungarifles.html with old style rifles firing, rides, a bouncy castle, lucky dips and lots more.
The inner man was well looked after by a sausage sizzle, hot donuts, pies, pasties, hot chips, coffee, icecream and soft drinks.
